Entering the Alouette - RedBlacks game with just 8:29 remaining, Cato played three series, hit a 31 yard touchdown pass and had something over 80 yards total (the CFL stats didn't include his last pass completion so I am unsure of actual yards.)
His competition? Starter Jonathan Crompton was 2 for 6 in almost 30 minutes of the first half with a fumble. Brandon Bridge played about a quarter with 4 for 8, 54 yards and a TD. Andrew Manley had zero completions and a fumble in two series ahead of Cato.

Ha! Cato showed more in two series playing behind rookie than Crompton showed in a half.

Well, I liked the play of Bridge and Cato this evening. They have zip on the ball, and Cato gets it away in a heartbeat. And all of the with the third team! I wonder how they will fare with the first stringers. Popp, you gotta keep these guys around a little longer.
Crompton, you better get your act together, and soon!
