It always amazes me that a butchered word can make it through the original creator, somebody who should be checking it, and a printer.

It's worse when it happens to institutions of higher learning.

Amazing considering that most programs these days tell you which words are misspelled.

Most colleges, including community colleges, are extremely anal about the printed word. Proof reading is double and triple checked for spelling and grammar multiple times.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen at other schools but games I've covered at the Joan always include pre-game contests to find the most errors in the Herd game day info.

Yeah its amazing how often spelling errors occur in their stuff. I bet it's because they let grad students run this stuff. Free work the program doesn't have to pay for.
