WBB postseason

Barring a late season collapse, that I don’t see happening, the Herd women seem well on their way to at least an NIT birth, but hopefully will be playing in the big dance. This coach is legit.
Agreed... A win Saturday at ODU with our remaining schedule would go a long way to locking up the regular season.

Gotta give Spears his credit for making the hire. The turnaround in one year has been incredible.

Also, not that it means a thing... But ESPN has MU as a 14 seed in the women's Bracketology that was updated yesterday. They have our girls playing 3-seed LSU in Baton Rouge in the first round.

- Hope the women make the tournament. Blunt truth is that, just like for the men, this is a one-bid league and the one is going to get a seed between 12-14. It is what it is.

- Unaware of the changes to the men's NIT. Stupid. So we get the 8th or 9th place teams out of a "power" conference, which is to say losers, probably about .500, playing one-another on some ESPN sub-channel, before half a crowd. The NIT hasn't mattered for 50 years anyway, but who wants to see Providence @ Penn State in March. Well, there is always hockey.

- And the backer of the NIT, and thus this system. The focus of evil in the sports world. ESPN.
