California’s $20 minimum wage leads 89% of fast-food restaurants to reduce hours

Shithole, USA (California) continues to crush the middle class, crush the poor and destroy itself with leftist/socialist/Marxist policies

Fewer hours for workers, higher prices and fewer customers...Who would have thought this would happen?

Democrat policies working for you! 🙄

As much as it pains me to say, the election is over. Trump will not be allowed to win.

Even if can(could) win, he will not be allowed to win. There are forces beyond his or any of his voters control to allow. The chance he can win is nearly zero, below 10%. He will not be allowed to win.

There is too much power against him not only in America but, in the world. I don't know where that leaves America or us, but the globalist and powers that be will not allow it.

All I can say is go to work, make what money you can, and keep an eye on things. Go vote of course, but just saying it likely will not matter. Even if he wins, he won't win.

“Would you like to donate to Children With Crooked Teeth?”

Is anyone other than me sick of the continual begging by charities? Every shop and restaurant seems to want an extra buck or two when you get ready to leave.

I support the organizations i believe in, but I hate being put on the spot when leaving a retail store or restaurant. One place wouldn’t even let me add it to my credit card - had to be in cash.

Charities begging, along with the ever present tip screens, are starting to irritate me. I’m getting better at just saying, “No.”

Watchdog group launching 'Hate Map' to track 'political violence perpetrated by leftist organizations'

EXCLUSIVE: A new conservative watchdog group is launching an interactive map that tracks instances of political violence "perpetrated by leftist organizations" in the U.S., it claims.

New Tolerance Campaign (NTC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, announced the launch of its "Hate Map," an interactive system that will allow users to track instances of political bias through an "unbiased, detailed account of incidents, ensuring a more balanced and thorough perspective."

"There are organizations and individuals across the country on the left today who are promoting, inspiring and, in some cases, directly engaging in physical violence against those with whom they disagree," Gregory T. Angelo, president of New Tolerance Campaign, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

NTC created a catalog of left-leaning groups with a history of events that turned violent, such as protests, vandalism, physical assaults, threats and intimidation.

Angelo specifically called out the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit they say "has become something of a partisan cudgel."

"Whether it's corporate boardrooms that have been infected by the woke mind virus, whether it is colleges and universities that continue on an ever leftward drift, or activist nonprofits like the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center, who have basically just started carrying water for America's progressive left, the institutions have been taken over by leftist forces going back decades," Angelo said.

The NTC president said some examples of recent violent incidents include the 2012 shooting at the Family Research Council, the 2017 shooting at a Republican practice session for the Congressional Baseball Game, and the attempted assassination of former President Trump this month.

"These were not isolated events. They’re part of a larger pattern of hate and violence promoted by the left," Angelo said.

"We are going to continue to catalog hate and the promotion of violence on the left," he said. "Sadly, I don't think that that number is going to be going down anytime soon. If anything, it's going to be going up, and we will be here as a resource for members of the media, for elected officials, for everyday Americans and people in academia to use this in their research when it comes to calling out hate across the country."

NTC said the map will consist of a wide range of coverage, be updated regularly and be a user-friendly interface, according to a press release obtained by Fox.

Efforts to reach the Southern Poverty Law Center for comment were unsuccessful at press time.

I Owe Everybody an Apology

For decades, I have railed against you west virginians for your lack of reading comprehension. For decades, I have railed against you all for your inability to follow an argument/discussion and support your stance with relevant information. For many years, I have railed against Banker for his constant math errors. And I wasn't empathetic to care enough about why you all are morons.

Well, thankfully, a recent analysis did care, and they looked at 32 different metrics for public education in each state. Those metrics were wide-ranging and looked at everything from standardized test scores, to peer-to-pupil numbers, to dropout rates, to licensed teacher numbers, to school safety, and many more.

What it showed is that all of you morons should not blame yourselves. You had awful education your entire life, so nobody should expect you all to be anything less than awful when it comes to intelligence.

Let's look at how wv measures up:

math test scores: 49th
reading test scores: 50th
median SAT scores: 49th
bullying incidence rate: 47th (so much for those great people in the state, huh?)

I'm sorry for mocking you all for so long for being morons. It really isn't your fault. I should realize that I was given a huge advantage over you all due to NY having one of the top public education systems in the country.

Tree reassessment

With the climate becoming increasingly warmer and wetter, I have noticed new plant viruses killing a number of my ornamental trees. I have checked with the local nursery and some of the diseases have no cure.

I will have to evaluate my trees and remove and relocate a number of them. I do this anyway each year. Early this spring, I dug up a Japanese maple and moved it two feet back from my front walk. I finally had to tackle the tree to break it loose from its remaining roots.

Digging up semi mature trees in is labor intensive and I was wondering if any of you own or have knowledge of those Bobcat type mini dozers? I can just see myself zipping along in one of those.

Sitting here viewing the Ocean from my hi-rise

One day in and I realize what a waste of money it is to come to the beach. Fi
rst time back in seven years, and first trip to ocean city in almost 30 years.

30 years is a helluva long time, but didn't miss a single thing. Same worthless shops and same overpriced food and misc. tourist trap candies and that god awful taffee. $13 a box for that tooth breaking shit.

Saw something new though, as I was walking the boardwalk, and figure rifle is the only one that knows the answer. Was following behind a pair of somewhat fat girls, maybe 18, perhaps 20, but they both had on tight cutoff shorts with half a fat ass cheek exposed. Almost threw up an oyster. Is that something new these days? Walking that boardwalk was no different than going to Walmart, except I'm paying $550.00 a night for this. I'll stay on the porch the next few nights. Brought my own beer, but this will be my last beach trip. Mountain trips are all I'll do moving forward.

Bunch of nasty ass people and I paid that much money to see it.

Huff said new deal is coming and has no pressure to win

- Huff states that talks about his future with the team have been ongoing since early 2022.

- "We've had conversations. We've been talking, since the Notre Dame game, if we're being honest, about what it looks like"

- "There is a plan in-house. We have not announced that plan, but we're not sitting here waiting to say, "OK, if you don't win the championship, then you're gone."

- Huff says that timing has played a role in the lack of any contract annoucement, but that Huff and Marshall's administration have each been working "diligently" to make sure both parties benefit from a new deal, if it comes to fruition."

- "There's timing and things that come with that, and we're trying to be creative with what we want to do, the administration and myself," Huff said.

- "We don't know what college football is going to look like in four years, three years, or two years. We're trying to make sure we put both Marshall and myself in a really good situation so that it's sustainable."

- "It's not about just money for me"

- "There are things in the program that we've got to put in place to make sure we are sustainable and competitive in the conference. some of those things take time to research."

- Huff said he doesn't feel this season will way his future at Marshall and that there's a reaosnable expectation that he returns with a new contract in 2025 based on "undisclosed" conversations he's had with Spears and Smith.

- "NO, THERE'S NOT PRESSURE TO WIN A CERTAIN NUMBE OF GAMES TO GET A NEW CONTRACT, BUT WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE PUT OURSELVES IN A GOOD SITUATION," HUFF SAID.

"We've got a plan, I feel good about that plan, and the fans will hear the plan sooner rather than later."

Republican Conspiracy Theories

This is a good article about one of the January 6 insurrectionists and the damage that you tinfoil hat wearing morons caused one of your own. This guy was you: traveled to attend the trump rally, a die-hard deplorable. Those illogical conspiracies spread to the places you get your information: Fox News, Twitter, and Alex Jones

The article hits the nail on the head with the below two paragraphs. And it has a lot to do with what I have railed on you deplorables about: getting your news from sources who don't care about accuracy and aren't held to a standard, getting your news from Twitter and podcasts, blaming people who have nothing to do with your failures (wealthy people like Zuckerberg, Oprah, Bill Gates and/or immigrants).

As I watched video of Epps from January 6 and pored over transcripts of his sworn testimony from court documents and the congressional committee interview, I wondered: Why had a seemingly rational person fallen victim to conspiracy culture? Politically polarized cable news that relies on punditry, not factual reporting, was obviously part of it, along with social media “influencers” who build massive audiences by posting paranoid yarns. It’s never been easier for people to cherry-pick facts that match their beliefs — or fabricate them altogether. But why did so many of these fabrications hinge on scapegoating? Scholars say the answer can be found in the belief that white people have become increasingly marginalized, or “white grievance.”

“There is such tremendous income inequality that it produces an inevitable sense of grievance,” Michael Barkun, a Syracuse University emeritus professor who studies conspiracy theories and political extremism, told me. As declines in manufacturing and other blue-collar pursuits left many working-class white people struggling economically, many blamed bicoastal elites, rising immigration and anyone who had been a “minority” but seemed to be advancing into the “majority.” The sense of marginalization among Americans who traditionally viewed themselves as superior has perhaps led them to feel threatened. And people who feel threatened are more likely to believe conspiracy theories. Those who believe that white people experience racial discrimination, studies show, are more likely to believe the electoral process is corrupted.
