    I would surmise that increasing fan interest and revenues was a huge consideration. Staying in CUSA for another year would mean static (if not reduced) attendance and revenues.     I may be in the minority but....

    You are in the minority. I graduated in 1983 and never felt a rivalry with any MAC team. The older fans do but not me. I would much rather travel south to a game than north to Godforsaken Ohio, Michigan or wherever MAC teams exist.
