Marshall in top 120 out of 134 schools playing D1 football( academically) !!

I agree, these things are by design provocative. Methodology of all of these rankings are problematic. That said it’s Duke and Stanford, put the rest in a box and shake.

    Chris Holtmann available

Yes, I agree. Thought Marshall might kick the tires and see how interested he would be with a lower pressure reset and how much of a salary cut he would withstand. Of course it could be that he collects a check and sits next season.

Open Border Policy Hits St Albans?

Smileys and the car wash were located in Jefferson. John Smiley had a huge motel business until the traffic moved to 64 in the late 60’s - early 70’s. Once RT 60,became mostly a local’s route his business slowly tanked.

Dont watch a lot of Marshall basketball, but are SBC refs always this bad?

Yep, independent contractors who work a number of conferences. That said, guys do work defined regions if possible to cut down on expenses and to insure they can get from game to game easily

Dont watch a lot of Marshall basketball, but are SBC refs always this bad?

The answer to your question is definitely yes. ACC and other top conferences pay Class A officials around two K a game. It’s a sliding scale based on where the official ranks and the league. You will see the occasional familiar face doing lower level games, picking up some extra cash on off days...

    Rifle - HC question

To wrap this up WS has been hired by Duke as an assistant coach.

    Rifle - HC question

My understanding is WS would get a AHC tag if he comes to Durham. Longtime friend of MD. Or he may be angling for a raise from A&M.

That bolgona with the red string

Extra thick fried with the edges burned. On white bread with Kraft plastic singles, yellow mustard and a side of Snyder’s rippled chips. Top it off with a Mt Olive sweet whole pickle and a glass of iced tea. SWEET.

My issue is the state knew about CFA’s Sunday policy when they granted them retail space. What has changed?

    NHR: WVSSAC reclass.

Eight man is a good game and would make sense in several ways. It won’t happen. Also add Chas Cath and Wheeling Central as schools pointed out as having a recruiting advantage over the years.

    NHR: WVSSAC reclass.

But remember one thing education folks like to parrot. “ It’s all about the Key-uds”. Lol.

    NHR: WVSSAC reclass.

Good summation Sam. I’m not involved or affected by the SSAC but do get insider information from a close friend. I can wrap this in a neat bow. 1) This whole thing is silly. The formula is understandable but that doesn’t change the fact it’s nuts. 2) This whole rubic’s cube started with one...

    Gerad Parker

GP is from Louisa and played ball at Lawrence Co. The old guy, sisters, carried on about him all thru high school and college.

    Gerad Parker

Petty, laugh out loud. I was just relaying somewhat interesting fact about GP’s coaching journey. To me it’s a good story of a man getting a second chance and making it pay off. Cutcliffe saw something in this guy that made him hire him and work his way back. It’s obviously worked out great. The...

    Eric Montross dead at 52.

EM was a first class individual. By all accounts, including my own, he was a great and humble guy. No childish blue vs blue rivalry today. Just acknowledgement of a good man.

    Gerad Parker

I’m sure privately GP is offering a big measure of gratitude to David Cutcliffe. When Parker was coaching toxic due to his alcohol problems Cut took a chance and brought him onto the Duke staff when other coaches weren’t interested. Good luck to him.

Huff isn’t resigning after all, but this thread delivers!

I have some knowledge of this, CH was not offered the job at Duke. Full stop.
