Now, on to the War Room. Remember, what is talked about in the War Room, stays on Old Fairfield.
Marshall will be hosting a number of offered recruits this weekend for the crash anniversary game against UAB.
The 2022 Commits:
Smyre finally makes his long-awaited official visit to Huntington. The Alabama product has been an enigma since committing to Marshall months ago but our sources have remained steadfast that he would be a part of the 2022 class. Smyre also has offers from Tennessee State and WKU.
Montgomery is a frequent visitor to Huntington and appears all-in on MU. He sports offers from Akron, Eastern Michigan and Montana State.
Another frequent visitor, Slappy publicly committed to Marshall at the end of October, although our sources told us he's been a silent commit for months. Slappy also has offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Miami (OH), Old Dominion and Toledo.
Yuschak committed to MU back in June and like Montgomery and Slappy, has been to Huntington multiple times.
The "Other" 2022s:
A member of Miami's 2020 class, Williams totaled three tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss in just two games at Miami. The Charlotte, North Carolina native played his high school ball at Mallard Creek and held offers from West Virginia, UNC, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Louisville, and others out of high school. He will have four years of eligibility at his next stop.
Jackson was a celebrated high school recruit who signed with Ole Miss last December and arrived on campus in January. He participated with the Rebels in spring practice but left the program over the summer. He chose Ole Miss over offers from schools like Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State and LSU.
In October Holler was dismissed from ECU after a violation of team rules. He appeared in 17 games for ECU and started at center against Charleston Southern earlier this year. Holler initially chose ECU in 2019 over offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Ohio, Pittsburgh and WVU.
An outstanding student, Lopez committed to Harvard back in July but is still weighing his options. In addition to Harvard, Lopez sports scholarship offers from the likes Duke, UCF, App State, Liberty, FAU, Troy, Air Force, Army, Princeton and Yale.
The 2023s:
Alabi has recently taken trips to Northwestern and WVU but Marshall remains his only offer.
Marshall likes Davis as a linebacker. Cincinnati and Bowling Green are also heavily recruiting the Ohio native.
Wooten has been to Huntington multiple times on his own dime. He clearly likes what he sees from the MU program.
