All I wanted to do was post a flaming match! Speaking of locked threads, rumor has it that Rifle will be out on parole this Saturday. Let me posit a prediction:

I think the Herd will be able to lock down on the NCCentral receivers. I just don't think their QB will get much time to stand in the pocket waiting for his guys to come open.
We have to be more concerned when he pulls the ball down & takes off with it. In previous seasons, this kind of QB has given us fits, but after watching us dominate Navy, I think we have the discipline
and speed to keep their QB in check. What do the rest of you think?

Me, Rifle, Banker and Michigan were the ones who ultimately got the ban hammer from Rhode Island Red.

Bleeds participated, but his contributions to OF saved his skin. Geauxherd deserved a ban and was even a little bitter that he didn't get that honor on the battlefield that night.

The Thunder in The Mountains was a smack board where WVwho? Fans would camp out and we would talk trash all day long, mostly all sports related and aimed at each other.

But, this was back when we were still playing each other and since then the few that stayed transitioned to Pullman where is essentially the same concept but all political smack.

Thinking a decent marketing ploy by HN would be to open up the smack board, re-name it Rifle's Lounge or Rifle's W-House. Name alone would bring in groves of posters, and probably even increase paid membership.

My friend, herdman, would do an admirable job as forum moderator.

Herd Chemist comes around once every year or two over on the WV Woodshed forum, just to rub their misery in their faces. Surprised he didn't show up this past weekend. I was able to get one locked on the paid board yesterday. Unfortunately, they are quick with the trigger finger over there, so I was only able to use one "stupid," one "idiot," and one "you're a little bitch" before it got locked.

Well, in reality, the former board owner was providing me with personal information about posters that he learned from the information they used while signing up for the board. The bad part is that he was providing that info about all Marshall fans whom he disliked, trying to get me to chase them off of the board. Then, when we did the same to wvu fans, he turned into a traitor and shut the board down.

That's the same former board owner who was working with Marshall football coaches in his role on this site but was also, in his own words, "helping Charlotte with recruiting and organizing their recruiting board." Seems like just a bit of a conflict of interest.

It's the same former board owner who has accosted Banker twice in person at Marshall sporting events trying to start physical fights with him in public, at least one of which, drew a crowd in the bathroom.

It's far from my best work, but one of the most enjoyable was what happened with the wvu poster who had a name similar to "Mystic_Mounty."

He made one post on the board where he came talking shit. Within 10 minutes, I simply posted a picture of his mother in response to his post. He came back vehemently apologizing, promised that he'd never come back to the board, and pleaded to take the picture down and forgive him.

He was a younger guy - early to mid 20s - from New Jersey. But he was genuinely scared about how quickly and efficiently the intelligence operation was to the point that he begged for forgiveness and never came back after just one post.

Like usual, you have no idea what you’re talking about. I wasn’t suspended, and if you’d look at my activity, you’ll see that I’ve posted at least once on most days with the longest absence over the last couple of weeks being only two or three days.

The board owner is too smart to suspend me. It would be like a president shunning Jesse Jackson. The fallout isn’t worth it. His minions, on the other hand, learned the hard way why they shouldn’t do it.

Rifle had a profile pic using a collage of his hairstyles, LOL! But Archetype XLIV was a good sport about most of the stuff posted to make fun of him. I think it was when Chemist found out Arch had gotten in trouble with the law and started talking about it that caused him to disappear.

I forgot about that one. I entitled my piece of art "The Shark," because each of his hairstyles looked like a dorsal fin sticking out of the water.

Those were the good old days. It was like De Niro in his prime. It didn't matter what genre. Everything he touched was an instant classic: Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, Casino, Heat, The Fan, Sleepers, Meet the Parents, Great Expectations, Ronin. That was my streak.

One of my personal favorites was the game of "wvu football coach's wife or skanky porn star"? Even the wvu fans could only score about 50% in that game.

I still remember walking into an offensive staff meeting and seeing two coaching colleagues huddled over a laptop laughing. When they saw me walk in, they called me over to ask "Is this your work"? Apparently, one of them had worked with a wvu coach. The wvu coach called him to let him know that I was a main topic of conversation in their staff meeting that day. This particular wvu coach thought it was hysterical but said that many in that staff meeting wanted to fight me . . . all for trying to help them by showing that their wives resembled skanky porn stars. I should have been thanked.

In between Arch and rifle arguing over who had the best body, best hair, and better women, Arch started abusing the Chemist for being a woman beater and being a jailbird. Somebody had given me his real name, so I googled it in hopes of finding some dirt. First thing that popped up was that he was just arrested for indecent exposure. Being a good teammate, I sent the article to Chemist and allowed him to have multiple field days in getting his revenge. I think all he did was get caught taking a leak at a WVU tailgate, but Chemist turned it into an Emmy winning documentary.

When I hear things like this it makes every moment I work as the People's Moderator worth it. People got along a lot better when there were slurs and not all this woke crap.
