With the graduation of all-everything Rakeem Cato, departure of red-shirt freshman Cole Garvin, and limited number of quarterbacks left on campus, it's no secret that quarterback is a position of need in the 2016 recruiting class.

Head Coach Doc Holliday and offensive coordinator Bill Legg are combing the nation in search of signal-callers who fit the mold of a Thundering Herd quarterback.

One player that has drawn serious interest from Marshall is Peach State product Kyle Banks. An unrated pro-style quarterback by Rivals, Banks plays for North Paulding High School in Dallas, Georgia.

On May 21st Banks tweeted, "Blessed to have received an offer from Marshall University #WeAreMarshall..."

As I stated on an earlier thread, there is a ton of well-coached talent down here. A pipeline into the northern ATL burbs, where the talent in GA has shifted to over the years, would be very beneficial.

noticed Rivals lists Ashland's (Fairview Jr/Sr.??) Alex Roy (6'4", 218) as a "similar" type QB. no offers to date. just wonder if he got a look by the Herd staff?
 
I get that, but still.. none? Zero? Just seems crazy to me that someone could be 1-A caliber and have zero offers from anyone at all. Who knows though. Could be the next Brady.
