Here is our 18 seasons from '85 to '02: 184-53 (77.6% win) from '02 to '20: 122-101 (54.7%) ...(startling drop into mediocrity)
7-3 looks good until you watched a team ranked 15 (we were never that good) plummet to a team of quitters w/a coach who lost his fire after about year 5....Doc needs to go. No buyout, contracts up, thanks for all you've done. Go out & get a Div II HC who's talented & give him a big raise to come in and build it back up... my 2 cents
Someone look at the #’s and argue these last 18 years have not been, on the whole, putrid. One conference title!! ONE! Winning bowl games that are meaningless? Check. Now, losing 2 in a row? Check. Doc > Schnides, but now that “winning is the only thing that matters”, we haven’t come through in the clutch like the Marshall football program we were so excited to watch (win or lose!) from ‘85 - ‘02. Every season is going to be “the one”, but then reality slaps us in the face & asks if we are ever going to learn? Random thoughts off!
