I think he's doing a fantastic job, all things considered. I'm also impressed by the fan support during what's been a losing season. All of Herd Nation should be congratulated.

absolutely NOT a dumpster fire. Last year and the year before were dumpster fires. Terrible player attitudes. We looked like thugs on the court.Originally posted by alphasig1053:
I dont think many fans are upset with DD being the coach. We all knew this season was going to be a dumpster fire.
The system will not be designed to run through the post, unless we somehow land an amazing post player. If you look at the D'Antoni/European system, it's designed to spread the floor and use your bigs in the pick-n-roll game. Get your bigs away from the basket, have them face-up, and take a less skilled big to the basket or shoot mid range jumpers if they give them space. Plus, we don't have big men who can score consistently down low. If we were trying to pound it down low, I would seriously question what Dan was trying to do.Originally posted by RedParallax:
I think I read somewhere on Twitter the other day that we are #3 in the conference for basketball attendance, which was shocking to me.
For my 2 cents, I don't think we're playing much better overall as much as the team is just shooting better. I still don't see a lot of good plays trying to get down low. We're still relying too heavily on 3-point shots without even trying to penetrate first. The difference is that we seem to be making more shots now than earlier in the season.
Finally someone that gets it... I would think that 6'9" would be about as big of "big" Danny wants to get. He need players that can move, pass and shoot away from the basket.Originally posted by SHAMMOND16:

The name of the game is putting the ball through the hoop. It wasn't just bad luck that shots were not falling early in the season and now we're having some good luck because they are. Guys are now understanding the system, getting the ball to shooters in rhythm within the offense, and our players have been working on their shot.
Yep. But it's not about height, it's about skill set.Originally posted by Herdmeister:
