I am happy with the win, but not how we won. It did not seem to me we were able or even wanted to change up the game plan when North Texas adjusted and we became in effective on offense. I am glad we play in a mediocure conference or that kinda thing would kill us. There is no killer instinct in our coaching staff IMHO. Run your offense, make adjustments to maximize production, win big. To use a political analogy, its like our coaching staff is democrat and oh I don't want the losers to feel bad so lets slack off. Instead of like republicians -- if they can't stop us so be it(we will give them a break when game is in hand and put in 2nd and them 3rd string) but we do what we do.
Let Chase loose against these mediocure teams. Some mistakes against this competition would not cost the game, but when we hit competition like Western Ky and have to let it loose then without learning from mistakes now, we will get hammered if that is when the expectations of learning from mistakes occur.
I do see a bunch or heart in our players, I just don't understand why the coaches don't even try to change up the game plan when the game plan becomes in effective. Anyone that thinks in the 2nd half the game plan did not become ineffective or had changes put in saw a whole different game than I did.
I just don't see the coaching staff giving Chase the opportunity to learn from mistakes against compitetion where a few mistakes is not going the change the outcome of the game. Especially when we are up by 3 or 4 scores in the second half. Learn from mistakes there instead of in a spot when a mistake costs a win. I am not a coach but in general that sound pretty reasonable.
Lastly, I am not unhappy with the win just unhappy with the way we won. Cause it cause have been much better.
