According to Rep. Stephen Lynch, (D) Massachusetts, a congressional investigation recently found that at least 72 people working at the DHS were on a terrorist watch list. According to his interview with Boston Public Radio:
“Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector general did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security." "The director had to resign because of that."

Boys, be careful what you say. The attorney general may prosecute for hate crimes.

Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon - Free Speech

Islam is a serious problem - Hate Crime

Or perhaps the terrorist watch list is just complete hogwash with the number of people on it. We had a United States senator on the no fly list. That 72 number is 3 out of every 10 thousand. They were on a watch list. You evidently find this unacceptable, but are willing to sell them guns. Bwaaaahahaha!!

I thought we'd determined there were only around 500 citizens on the watch list?

Again, 3 out of 10000. For some idiots that doesn't sound like a lot....until one remembers it only took 6 to kill thousands on 9-11.

The congressman isn't exactly correct. That report showed that there were 73 people employed by airports and airlines that were on the watch list. The TSA didn't have access to the complete list which means they were "unable to connect the dots" so to speak. That's kind of ironic considering that is why the dept of homeland security was created.
