There is some overlap with the platforms of Sanders and Trump in the area of trade policy. But we all know that's not what interested Sanders' supporters.

Of course that is it. It is based in socialism instead of trade policy and nationalism. Our resident free-traders will disagree, but with a strategic trade policy and strong unions those issues would take care of themselves, along with a total revamping of our system of higer education. No more grants and loans to major in gender studies or some shit.

Agree Raoul. I know this will never fly but private student loans should be based on major. If I major in physical therapy I should have a lower interest rate than someone majoring in gender studies from the late Victorian era with an emphasis on Latino transvestites or some shit. Tuition costs didn't start rising until govt got involved

Well, they enforce a minimum wage. Didn't know there was a maximum. Greed chose to pay less or couldn't pay them very much. Offered no benefits but rambles on about others needing to do more. He chose not to pay more. At one time he even took them off hourly wage and put them on a production/commission based plan. Where would his employees be better off? Nigeria? Pakistan?

anyway, income inequality doesn't exists in a vacuum. what he can afford to pay his employees is dependent on what others can afford to pay for services based on their incomes.

No more federal funds going toward for profit universities, either. No more schools with massive endowments getting federally funded student loan guarantees either. If you're so confident in your school and the value of that degree, you can self-fund your own student loan programs. Hell, if your students are successful you'll make money off of your student loan program. But if you graduate a bunch of worthless degrees you'll lose money...but better the schools money than the federal government.

Also - the arms race at colleges has got to stop. No, your precious snowflake does not need a state of the art classroom, gym, cafeteria with gluten free organic options, etc. These campuses and facilities are getting out of control. The professors don't make more money, but bloated (non teaching) administrators and ridiculous facilities arms races aren't helping anything.

Which is why you work to grow your business beyond the size of a wood shed. More customers, broader customer income demographics, increased revenues, increased profits (another liberal dirty word), higher pay for his staff. AKA: GROWTH

That's how business actually works. You are essentially blaming his customer base for the state of his business...which is absurd unless you actually believe in income vacuums. At what point does a business owner take the responsibility for how his company is growing (or not).....wait..........he's a liberal........he cant take responsibility for anything.

This was essentially the argument Greed and I would have before he cowardly began "ignoring" my replies to him. The minute he was challenged to spend less time on message boards complaining about poor employee pay and instead work to build his business in order to pay more to his employees, he fled.
