The Herds performance really stands out! How they played and conducted themselves makes me proud to be a Marshall fan! Lets keep it rolling next year!

It also made me realize what I have suspected to be true all year, there not too many teams we couldn't play with, or beat, in the country right now. Really amazed at our speed on defense; something allowing very solid horizontal movement on the field that is even lacking on many top half P5 conference teams...very noticeable on the lower half of the P5 league teams in the last couple days' bowl games.

Re: After Watching Few Bowl Games.......

agree with the above and would add the obligatory THERE ARE TOO MANY BOWL GAMES...

8 wins should be the minimum to get in. this would also allow for a playoff expansion to at least 8 teams.

I'd like to see 8 win min for bowls which of course reduces the bowls...but i would like to see expansion of playoff and add more bowls for that purpose. Bowls are about $$$ and this would solve all the problems.....

Re: After Watching Few Bowl Games.......

I look at college football today and I see "Caddyshack 2." You know where Jackie Mason buys the country club and turns it into a trashy, all-inclusive putt arena? It makes it much more accessible to the general public, but makes a mockery of what it once was and now can never be again.

Bowls are cheaper than ever to put on - just look at the Boca Bowl. Crap venue, crap payout, pre-Christmas bowl...but with most leagues engaged in profit-sharing, the newest, lowest bowl can still land the top teams from two different conferences. The better-paying bowls wind up supporting the penniless upstarts.

That's the messed up part of college sports: almost everybody that's playing in this game is doing it with somebody's else skin.
