Rasheen is only one TD away from tying Jackie Hunt for 5th place in all time Marshall TDs scored with 43.
The last Marshall running back to have multiple 1,000 yard seasons? You have to go back 13 years to Darius Marshall in 2008-2009 when he had 1,095 and 1,131 rushing yards. Prior to that, you have to go back to Doug Chapman who had 1,000 yard seasons in 1996, 1997 and 1998 (but not '99). Ahmad Bradshaw came up 3 yards short in 2005 of having back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons (he had 1,523 rushing yards in 2006).
Ali is currently 9th on the Marshall All-Time Rushing Yardage list. He should pass Glenn Pedro on Saturday but needs 170 yards to pass Brendon Knox. With a big game Saturday and/or a nice bowl performance he could move into the Top 5. He needs 175 yards to match Franklin Wallace.
- Chris Parker - 71 TDs
- Doug Chapman - 64
- Randy Moss - 55
- Darius Watts - 50
- Jackie Hunt - 43
- Rasheen Ali - 42
