Anyone else go to their website to try and stream the game. It clearly had the FAU game listed as upcoming for streaming and yet they didn't stream it !

WTF!?!?

CUSA gives its college games and indeed the best conference ASN/Sinclair has to broadcast and they don't follow through streaming it?

If we would have had a game watching party they would have hung the organizer.

Honestly, unacceptable. DShoe, who should we complain to first ? !

Probably ASN would be a good start. When they have said they were streaming before I always got it. I watched yesterday on Directv. I follow them on Twitter and usually see when they are going to stream. I didn't this time but that doesn't mean I didn't miss it as I did not go through some tweets the other day.

I am happy with ASN as I have watched both football and basketball game I lreviously would not have been able to watch as they would not have been on TV or would have been in CSS.

Was just thinking how great an addition to our media outlets ASN was, watching these games on MASN in HD is a treat IMHO. Don't know about their streaming, maybe a technical difficulty yesterday or something.

The Channel # varies based on your Cable/Satellite provider, if you do not have it, you likely cannot get it.

It is channel 640 and 640.1 on DirecTV; we also get the games on the local Sinclair network; for us in Cincinnati area that is channel 25 (not HD).

MASN along with some other Directv channels pick up the ASN games. Sinclair channels are not the only ones that will pick them up. I believe MASN picks up a ton of the ASN produced games. HD picture and they do a great job. I am pleased because more games are getting on TV. Much better than the CSS channel that only a certain area can get.

Of course I am fortunate that i have Directv. I also get some of the games licked up on the subchannels here in Lexington for our Sinclair station as well as one other. Football showed up in are ABC affiliate's su channel and basketball has been in the FOXY affiliate. I believe a few more are scheduled for MASN. Seems like one of the ASN games is not scheduled though on MASN though.

Interestingly, the discussion about ASN goes to what channel to find it on cable or satellite - when in fact it is, first of all, an over-the-air channel included in the broadcast streams from the towers of local TV broadcast stations. If Direct TV or Comcast is carrying the event emanating from ASN, it is a private arrangement to buy the programming from an OTA provider.

Here's the story on MASN; and it fits well with broadcasting ASN games due to its local independent ownership.

Interesting that ASN works in HD space, yet their own distribution is Digital over the air (non-HD) broadcasts. So it is easy to see they are two tiered, product and broadcast. This makes the DirecTV outlet on MASN very attractive to those of us who can get either/both.

So I emailed American Sports Network about not streaming the FAU game when it was clearly on their schedule.

The response basically said: we're sorry if we can't stream the game when we have already scheduled to stream it, the institution we are at doesn't have the ability to help us stream content.

WTF part deaux?

Isn't THAT work item your job to take care of?

Basically ASN just said, don't plan anything around a streamed game, it's 50/50 if you get it it not.

Here's my take. If ASN figures out a way to get all content on Direct TV it's a move by CUSA one might agree with,, if not this was a stupid CUSA conf office move.

You've lopped CUSA into a lower tier of broadcasting and they've delivered unacceptable results too boot!
