Off topic, I've never understood the cult following of this and other Coen Bros. movies. The only one I can think of that I've actually enjoyed was "No Country for Old Men." Tried watching "The Big Lebowski" recently on a flight to see what all the fuss was about. Breaking character for a moment, I realize taste in art (music, movies, etc.,) is highly subjective, and I'm not knocking anyone who likes it, but I thought it was just a terrible movie.

The Christian Church is not a national church, so to have the flag of the USA in the sanctuary not only mixes kingdoms, but it disinvites non-Americans.

To me, it also implies the Church will stand with the government no matter what it does. And we know governments can do evil. The Church will stand with God no matter what, so if they put that flag in their sanctuary I have to assume they are putting it on the same level as God.

Also I love needing evangelicals for putting up that white flag with the purple Union that they call the Protestant flag. Almost none of them know that the flag was invented by a socialist during the early part of the 20th century.

Ah, along with the Pledge of Allegiance (something else they also love and do in their churches) being written by a socialist...I am thinking I might break out the Soviet hockey jersey one Sunday morning and go to church with Mom.
