Anybody watch this fight tonight? This is the biggest upset in heavyweight championship fighting since Tyson/Douglas . . . I think it's more of an upset than when Lennox Lewis lost.

Ruiz is an absolute fatass. Nobody gave him any chance. The first Mexican heavyweight champ, and now he just won three of the heavyweight belts. By all accounts, he is a good guy. He seems very down-to-earth and humble in his interviews. Immediately after the fight, you couldn't help but smile watching him jump around the ring celebrating. It was pure joy being shown by him. Last night, less than 24 hours before his fight, he was walking around the area with his girl, taking pictures, and posting them to Instagram after he put animated captions on them.

Just look at the guy:

Just watched the fight because of your post, thank you. Really entertaining fight. Appears Ruiz needs to get punched and then he throws back with some serious power (or Joshua has a soft chin or wasn’t ready).

I have always thought Joshua was an average fighter who got lucky a couple of times both in the ring and in who his opponents were. I think Ruiz is a lot better than what anyone credited him with being. He has pretty quick hands and great head movement. I think Joshua could have crushed him with body blows earlier in the rounds.

Ruiz just seems like a truly good, down-to-earth guy.

Seems like a nice guy. And it's not everyday you see a nice guy win in boxing.

And he might be a fatass, but he hits HARD. Left hook is fire. Joshua was not the same after the left hook to the ear, it fvcked him up good.

Commentary was funny...."Joshua is a composed, ferocious finisher"....proceeds to get straight beat up for the rest of the round.

Totally awesome. Joshua vastly overrated and got his ass kicked. I liked it. Ruiz seems like a great story. For some reason I never like British boxers.

Andy Ruiz now has the WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF heavyweight belts. I would really love to see him fight Deontay Wilder who has the WBC belt. I believe the Ring magazine heavyweight championship title is currently vacant, but I'm sure they would award the winner of that fight their belt as well. There has not been an undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis, 20 years ago. Deontay Wilder is 42-0-1 with 40 ko's. He would destroy Andy Ruiz.

Isn't Wilder set to fight Ortiz and then Tyson Fury in 2020? If I am Ruiz I let those three have a round robin and I take the winner for a big old pay day.

If Im Ruiz I freaking walk into retirement as World Champ and not keep getting my brain bashed in

Deonte Wilder just knocked out Luis Ortiz about a year ago. Wilder v. Fury was a draw and people have wanted to see a rematch. I would think Wilder would want the fight with Ruiz because he thinks he could easily win and get all those belts. And that would set up a great money making rematch with Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. However, this is boxing. The powers that be in boxing only care about how much money they can make for themselves. What makes sense doesn't apply in boxing.
