That may take him 2 years to get those wins combined. I don't ever see us getting 10 wins in a season the way things are now. OOC will prevent that. jmoDoc has 85 wins. Pruett had 94. Doc needs 9 wins to tie BP, 10 to surpass. Maybe he hangs on to get 10 wins in a 12, 13, or 14 game schedule depending on covid, CCG, and bowl game. He may get 9 in one year, but I don't see 10
Maybe they go two years to get him the wins, and coach at Notre Dame. Who knows. That may take him 2 years to get those wins combined. I don't ever see us getting 10 wins in a season the way things are now. OOC will prevent that. jmo
The longer we go without an announcement the more likely it it is that Doc stays.
If we get passed the 2nd week of January without an announcement then Doc is staying.
Doc and Hamrick will not be here. No contact extensions have been asked for. The BOG will most likely finalize at January meeting unless they resign. I expect Doc to do that but Hamrick won't until told there is no extension for him.The longer we go without an announcement the more likely it it is that Doc stays.

what did he do? Go down with the football coach? I always felt like he got MU in trouble with all those contract extensions for the football coach.Doc and Hamrick will not be here. I have heard Hamrick is calling all the big donors we have left urging them to speak up for him. Its too late and too little

You sonofabitch why do you go and make me love you.He wouldnt leave, or be let go that close to spring practice. No one who loves the school and program would ever do that. That would be crippling.

So you have your Freshman (QB) learn an new offense under a new Offensive Coordinator? The whole philosophy changes. You have to have the right personnel (new kids). With a new cohort of players you have to have chemistry. That takes time. Fanatical Marshall fans should really be careful what they wish for, continuity to a young (QB) is important.
See, I’m torn with Hamrick.
He’s gotten some fine facilities that were desperately needed built. He’s done some really good work with our football schedules. (Although I feel that is overblown here lately. When did we book the last P5 series with games in Huntington, other than the unique situation of VT? It’s been years).
But I think he’s alienated the average fan. If you’re not a major donor, he doesn’t really care what you think and has basically said as much on the radio.
So he does have some major value as a fund raiser. Does his blind devotion to Holiday outweigh the good he’s done? Probably, football especially here isyour flagship program and the writing has been on the wall for 2-3 years now.
But it’s not a black and white issue. In some ways, he’s an excellent AD. In others, he’s awful.
We probably need a reset there as well I suppose. I’d like someone that places a bigger focus on championships (across all sports).
He has lost or never had support from former players. We all remember the incident at a football game a few years ago. That, I understand, was only a drop in the bucket. Chad has virtually disappeared from Marshall as a giver. He could never get Randy, Byron or Hassan on board at all. Troy is also a no show presently.what did he do? Go down with the football coach? All the above have money and a ton of influence and he has rubbed them all the wrong way. From what I hear this has been very disturbing to the BOG
I think Doc is just waiting to see what bigger jobs will open up so he can move up and take on a bigger program. Maybe USC after Helton leaves

My sources told me he's making the jump straight to the league. Belichick is out and Doc is in
Does that mean we have first dibs at hiring Belichik?... Could we do an NBA-style sign and trade?
that would require the BG to actually do their job. They don’t want to deal with the $50 a month new donors. They’d rather corral a few $1000 donors and resume playing golf. Know your market, know your demographics. There a dozens of small donors out there but very few large ones left.I agree. He’s not all bad but he seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way. I’m a small donor and don’t live in WV so I don’t have any reason to know Hamrick, but it would seem obvious that we need to broaden the base with small donors like me. It doesn’t take a whole lot, just don’t completely discount us.
What makes you think Chad as any desire to coach at Marshall??here is an idea. Make Chad the coach in waiting. Put Doc on a one year contract and then pass the baton to chad after one year

Pretty much, I let you all know this months ago in another thread.
