Associated Press Gets the Story Wrong Again on the NRA

If you can't take guns to the convention, the NRA should boycott their own convention. Stick to your guns, snowflakes.

It is also up to the local venue/property owner.

Example. If you went a convention center and they have a no gun policy you can't take your gun.

NRA members like to follow the laws.

And the secret service dictates the policy not the nra but extra and others know that

NRA should not patronize establishments that ban the carrying of firearms by law abiding citizens.

As for the argument that it's not their fault the only places big enough for them have such rules: BULLSHIT. I am sure they could rent a field big enough for all of them. Hell, I've got a field I will rent to them. Convention goers are a bunch of pussies that like AC and heat and dislike bugs. The kind of people that "rough it" in $200k campers.

Maybe so, but most venues that I know of are like that. Also, many states have rules for places charging admission, etc. So, it is likely impossible for the NRA to do. I am sure they would like your offer, but running a world class convention is more than having space. hahaaa.

Sure it is. Although I'd be happier in a field than a stuffy arena.

What I do find funny about it is the same people who go online and say they won't patronize a place that bans weapons will go to a convention that bans weapons (yes, it's the venue, who cares). I saw all these people bitch about Walmart or BW3 or whatever on Facebook. I really don't care. If I want to carry inside a place that bans weapons I do it anyway. And I have. I just think it is funny seeing everyone bent out of shape when it's the same group of people that usually support property rights.

Law abiding gun owners following the law and you call them snowflakes?!? You’re an idiot

You're the idiot. It's a gun convention, but no guns allowed. If the safest place you can be is around good guys with guns, that'd be the safest place you could be as president and vp. Moron. Stick to your guns, snowflakes.

It was open for guns until Cheetos and vice Cheetos decided to come. Without all those good guys with guns it's going to be a dangerous place, ya know.

Take it up with the secret service. Once again law abiding gun owners follow the law

In the state where I live if you carry in a place that charges admission you are breaking state law, not just a trespass charge.

Raoul, you are full of total horsepoo in this.

Good lord. Did PJ take over your account?

This is an asinine line of argument.

I'm not cracking on the NRA, really. I'm just having fun. But I am cracking on people on Facebook and such that complain about businesses that do not allow firearms. Either tow the party line on property rights, which is in alignment with the philosophy behind natural rights and firearms, or don't be a crybaby and conceal carry in there anyway. There's a sign at the local movie theater that says NO WEAPONS ALLOWED...I ignore the shit out of it. I won't conceal carry if I will be drinking alcohol, because that opens me to a ton of legal liability.

If it serves alcohol and that would be considered a bar, also a illegal

I don't know what the law is these days, but used to be down in Florida if they didn't wear pasties the strip joint couldn't sell alcohol. I've never seen so many airplane bottles in a bathroom trash can as I did at a certain establishment in Tampa.
