due to my last post of questionable judgement, I offer these pics of the Great John Marshall you may not have seen before. The wall bust hangs in the old Supreme Court room in the Capitol. The large, seated Memorial was completed in 1885. It sat outside the Capitol bldg until it was moved to make way for expansion. It now is the dominant piece visible as you enter the “new” (1935) SCOTUS building across the street from the Dome....

I'm a non-alum too. I've been a member or the Alumni Assoc for 30 years and Big Green for nearly as many but I have never set foot in a Marshall classroom. My degree is from Barry University in Miami. Funny but I have never set foot on that campus either. All my classes were at satellite branches of the school in central Florida.

Ever check the cost of Out of State tuition? Roughly, 23% (1/4) of all MU students are out of state.

Meanwhile, beep in the bowels of Old Main: (faint familiar music floats into range. Voices take up the lyrics in 4 part harmony):
"We are the sons of Marshall, sons of the Great John Marshall! Year after year...." I believe the man is the reason We are.....Marshall.
If we were Gorsuch University, we probably wouldn't be called the Thundering Herd! I say to you, good sir, that the subject of my post is most certainly germane to our sports program, as surely as it relates to all other aspects of this esteemed institution of higher learning. I rest my case.
