Every indication is the SEC is going to play and they have even talked about playing teams in their own conference twice if they have to.

“I’m Jay Gogue, president of Auburn University, and I just wanted to chat with you for a few minutes,” he said. “We’re going to open classes this fall. We’re going to have fraternity and sorority activities. We’re going to have more than 500 club activities that will be underway with student participation and leadership. We’re going to have convocation. We’re going to have popsicles and pizza with the president. We’re going to have football this fall. We’re going to have all the activities that we have every fall.

I would like to see more college presidents with this kind of boldness and confidence. So often we read of college administrations caving to what their faculty tells them is the right thing to do. I would guess that the Auburn faculty was not asked for input on his proclamation. Hope President Gogue influences others to take the same position. We have to assume some risks in getting the country re-started.

(WOWK) – WVU President E. Gordon Gee appeared on WOWK’s “Opening West Virginia” special on Wednesday and seemed certain that games would be played on the gridiron in the Fall.

“We are going to play football in the Fall,” Gee says. “Even if I have to suit up myself.”

That man's body would be crushed by the weight of football pads and helmet.

...and if it doesn't?
I know MU fans would want Hamrick fired and Doc fired, and whoever put the new signage on the campus just because.
Is it bold to declare something and then it not happen...at all?

You can see where this is going. SEC and Big 12 are going to play.

I think it's ultimately going to be the top earning teams that people actually give a damn about.
As I said before, there are like 26 or so schools that earn over $100 million a year. Those will be the ones who can afford to play.
