Western Kentucky: Former Marshall running backs coach Chris Barclay has joined the WKU staff. Barclay spent the past two years at Marshall.

baker flipped long before wku even had an opening, and per paul swann doc did offer a statement, "We appreciate the contribution Chris made to our program's success over the past two seasons. We wish him and his family the best."

Game film maybe but hand signals, snap counts, etc, etc you don't always get in game film. You don't think Doc had more insight to what WVU was doing in 2010 a season after he left? I'd like to think he probably did

Exactly, Herdit. I was going to say that Legg's entire playbook is contained on a 3" X 5" note card, which I'm sure the Toppers have figured out by now!!

Let's see, Barklay is from Louisville hence closer to home. It's his choice to accept the position at WKU. Many seem to forget that we have freedom of choice yet want to criticize when someone chooses to leave Marshall.
Go figure! I'm sure Doc will find and acceptable replacement who, no doubt will be criticized by fans from wherever he comes from. I don't see WKU gaining an advantage on Marshall by simply hiring one of our assistants.

Correct. Barclay in no way left Marshall for WKU. He was not employed when he accepted the Hilltopper gig.

I have not heard a specific reason. I believe Doc felt Barclay just didn't fit the program any longer.
