Big Green Member:
First off, thank you for your support of Marshall Athletics and our student-athletes.
I hope most of you have seen that the Marshall University Board of Governors approved a plan to begin the RFP process to identify a development partner of building our Marshall University baseball stadium. This past Friday was truly an historic day in Marshall Athletics history as this stadium is something long overdue.
On Friday, we released a crowdfunding campaign to help raise funds for the stadium. Our goal was to raise $50,000 in this first weekend. Thanks to Chris and Melissa Lambert, that $50,000 is going to be matched to truly make a huge impact on turning on dream into a reality.
As it stands right now, we are less than $12,000 from reaching our goal. It is amazing that our Herd fans have raised over $38,000 in a little over 48 hours.
With the finish line fast approaching, I ask, I challenge you to make a gift to our campaign today. A simple $10, $20 or $50 gift by our Big Green Members, our number one supports, will push us past this goal.
Many of you have already made a gift through this campaign, and I thank you. I ask you to reach out to your friends, family, neighbors and ask them to consider a donation.
We can do this and show our new administration how much it would mean to Herd Nation to have an on-campus baseball stadium.
