Some interesting funding tidbits.
The BG has the second highest number of members in CUSA. ODU is number one.
Our giving level of the BG is third highest in CUSA behind ODU and UTSA.
Boise St. has 4500 members in their booster club and give 3.2 million. Compared to the BG who has 3100 members and give 2.05 Million
ECU has 7000 members in the Pirate club which give a total of 7 Million in donations.
Colorado St. has 5100 members in their club who give 2.9 million.
Our athletics budget is in the middle of all CUSA schools. We spend about 27 million. ECU spends 35 Million. Boise spends about 43 Million. Colorado St about 33 Million.
All in all, considering our size, alumni demographics and the area we are in, the BG and Alumni/fans support Marshall damn well. To think otherwise is delusional. That said, we can do more and its the job of the BG director to bust his ass to get more donors in the fold. Step up!
