Bill Legg to Return Per Doug Smock

It's going to be choose your seat day 5 mins before every kickoff if that's true.

It most likely is. Not sure why any of us actually bought into anything different. Here his contract was up which gave the administration an amicable way to part ways and now they are going to give him a new deal. It's one thing if he had time left on his deal, but allegedly this was the final season on that deal and it's up June or July 1.

But per Landon the future looks bright..the worst thing about the Herd winning the bowl game was going to be the change of any of the staff..with a "bright" future (per Landon) why would Holliday make any changes..we won but unfortunately lost.

The biggest problem with the athletic department - the AD who sees nothing wrong with any of the programs , mediocrity is good enough for him. Any other AD would have forced changes across the board as well as be actively seeking elevating Marshall to an actual D1 conference..but not our guy..mediocrity in a glorified 1-AA conference is obviously good enough for him...must be fun getting up every day realizing your ruining your 3rd athletic program in a row.

If this report is accurate, I would say Bill Legg needs to do two things immediately...

1. Scrap the read-option bullshit that we cant run because our QB isn't a runner.
2. Figure out how to work the ball down field effectively, meaning no more 3-yard passes/delayed handoffs on 3rd-and-11.

Where does it actually say he is staying? It just implies because Marshall won and put up points, that he is likely not going.
Then it went on to mention Litton's 6 INT's in 2 games were major factors for our losses and lack of production.

Its speculative at best but not definitive that he is staying.

Shoot, better than that. Buy the cheapest general admission ticket you can get and then early during the game just drift around the stadium and pick out the seat where you want to sit among the hundreds/thousands? of vacant ones available!!

If the decision to retain/fire your OC was based off of 60 minutes in the 2017 New Mexico Bowl then your program has much bigger problems than Bill Legg.

Actually, that happens all the time for head coaches and coaches in general. Games are speculated as basically being the end all of their time at a given place. Marshall is no different in that.

Keeping his sorry ass will hurt season ticket sales. Who in the hell wants to go see Don Nehlen football. Run Run Pass Kick! As long as Hamrick and Holiday are here Legg has a job making his $225k. Hamrick never played on a winning team or had the opportunity to go to a bowl game. So this is great in his eyes and nothing will happen. I think they are chicken shit and like many others are happy for the status quo.

Hard to argue with that.
