Hillary Clinton edges out Donald Trump in new Ohio poll
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Despite polling struggles in Ohio over the past month, a new survey suggests the Buckeye State remains in reach for Hillary Clinton this November.
A survey by Monmouth University released on Wednesday found Clinton, a Democrat, leading Republican Donald Trump among likely Ohio voters 44 percent to 42 percent. The poll was conducted from Oct. 1 to Oct. 4, a few days after a sequence of unflattering events for Trump that began with the first presidential candidate debate, which Trump was widely seen as having lost.
it also comes on the heels of a series other recent Ohio surveys conducted in the days after the debate — one by Google Consumer Surveys, one by YouGov and another by Ipsos — that show Clinton with a very narrow lead here.
