Sadly, you don’t realize you are reinforcing what I said.
Sadly you can't apply common sense to what I said.
I think I'm pretty consistent with no cognitive dissonance. However I can't say the same for you and other liberals.
For instance I'll give you one quick analysis.
Gun control - in virtually every dictatorship or communist regime the first step to gaining, and keeping control over the populace is to disarm them. That is the primary argument against gun control. However liberals say that will never happen here because we're a "moral and civilized society" and will always have a "moral government".
Likewise with regard to the gay agenda liberals say they must be empowered and protected. Those protections are the only protection between them and an "amoral and uncivilized society" and government.
My take is consistent on both - we are a moral and civilized society based on Judeo-Christian values but our government isn’t necessarily moral and civilized. Our citizens should be trusted to own firearms and to lawfully engage with fellow citizens, straight or gay, in civilized manners. Furthermore most families have gay members and the large majority would not want harm to come to those individuals (key word being individuals note voting bloc).
Liberals want it both ways - you don't need firearms because there is no need to defend yourself from anyone because we have, and will always have, a moral government, however we can't trust our citizens because it will be open season on gays sanctioned by an immoral government. That is where a cognitive disconnect is.
