“Doc Holliday: Decade of disappointment”
In my short time (55 years) supporting the Herd, I recall tons of poorly coached, out talented Marshall football teams. But they always tried hard, never gave up, because post-1970 we were so blessed just to have a football team to cheer for. Through all the decades of grit, determination, tears, hopes, swagger, triumphs & heartbreaks, the 100% effort was there. The connection between the fans in the stands & the players was intense; you wanted to get down to the wall to touch their gloves, vocalize your passion & get that goose bump feeling after a big win. These last 2 games have been the 1st time I have seen us quit, 100%, just not given a shit one way or the other. Disappointed? Beyond words.
