Wonder what our bowl attendance will be? Anyone from Huntington going? What about the charter flight? I have not heard of anyone purchasing a seat/s on it. Just wondering. Of all our previous bowls this one does not seem to be generating much interest among fans. Probably due to the fact that it is the day after Christmas at 11AM. What have you heard?

Motor City Bowls were always the day after Xmas or very close to that date. I would imagine a lot of fans living in Florida will be attending.

I'm going from Charley West!

I would assume some of the dedicated don't criticize Doc one bit crowd is going--lest his balls will get cold even in Florida

What's the issue Random? I merely asked who is going to the bowl. If you check the UConn message boards not much interest either. So are you going?

I live in Orlando.. Requested the 26th off but waiting to see if that gets approved.. If I'm off on the 26th I'll be there

bb - I have a better one - in the best tradition of local news coverage in the last 60 years, how 'bout Ernie? As in Salvatore, "pardon me for asking, but................."

Go HERD !!!!

From Vingle in yesterday's Gazette-Mail.....

So on Monday in St. Petersburg, Florida, Dulaney had lunch with Marshall representatives sent to scout the bowl and work on logistics. Thundering Herd football operations man Mark Gale was among them.

“Ticket sales are going pretty well,” Dulaney said. “Typically teams out of town do well. I don’t know if we’ll sell out, but we should have a nice crowd.”

The 11 a.m. Dec. 26 kickoff time is awful, but Dulaney said he’s expecting a crowd of around 21,000. A sellout, he said, is around 27,800 for Tropicana Field.

MU athletic director Mike Hamrick said Monday his office is close to selling 2,000 tickets. A final tally will be interesting to check. Tickets on StubHub, an online broker, were selling for $59.99 to $134.21 Monday afternoon.

What might be more interesting, however, is the final count for West Virginia’s Cactus Bowl on Jan. 2 at Chase Field in Phoenix.

On Monday, one could find tickets, again on StubHub, for as low as $19.95 and as high as $250 for the game. According to WVU associate athletic director Matt Wells, there have been “slightly more than 2,000 tickets sold/accounted for” through the school “including internal usage.”

Herd making arrangements to stay with friends. Probably be traveling Xmas day. Yes I don't like it but it is what it is. BTW this bowl is rated #37 out of 40!

Bowl tickets are such a ripoff. Usually you can just walk up and get a cheap ticket because they give away tons to the locals.

I will be there with my dad. Driving down from Atlanta.

If you are buying tickets please suck it up and buy from the ticket office. I know it's more expensive but at least we get a cut of the price.

Went to detroit and thts it HIP. Just try to never miss a home game. Better than most and I love the big new screen tv my daughter bought.

If you can't go, please log on to Herdzone and buy a proxy ticket or two at $40 per. The first $100,000 goes to MU. Then after that MU gets 50% of the money. The proxy tickets are given to folks down there from a children's hospital or the Boys and Girls Club of St. Pete. Everyone wins.
