I don't expect a medical, expert opinion on this. What is an appropriate age you should stop breastfeeding your child (again, save the medical answer for elsewhere)? A girl I know posted a picture breastfeeding both of her children at the same time. One is only a couple of months old. Cool. The other is turning three next month. Isn't three pretty fvcking old to be sucking on mommy's nips? Many of her female friends commented on her picture with one saying that she breastfed her first son until he was almost four. What the fvck? Don't some people have memories as adults of things that happened when they were four? Can you imagine having vivid memories as an adult of sucking on your mom's tits and feeling that warm, thick, creamy milk running down your throat? I'd sue the bitch if she tried doing me like that as four year old.

I think you should key off the reaction of strangers.

As men, I think we're programmed to instantly look for breasts/nipples even if a baby is feeding. I think this is acceptable.

However, if you see a woman breastfeeding and the gut reaction is shock rather than looking for boob, that's too old.

Some women do not want to give up the weight loss they experience from breast feeding and will continue to at least pump for awhile after their kid is too old. It impacts women differently, but some get to eat almost whatever they want (sans alcohol) and still remain thin.

That having said, if she were my wife and my son still sucking on her tits, I'd let him know, from that moment on, he needs to go get his own, cause if anyone is sucking on her boobs, it's going to be me.
