This is the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) from Sweden...

Was in Glacier national park this week really hoping for a large magnetic storm to make them visible, but all I got were snowstorms.

To be able to vote in a national election one more time where there is an option better than voting for the lesser of two evils.

You have at least three options in your state. ;)

Those two and my deceased Labrador Mr. Otis , who passed away in 2003 but yet is a right in for something in just about every election I vote in and that is all of them. When in doubt ...Vote for Otis.

Avatar is Boudreaux who will be 4 in November and not the infamous Mr.Otis...lol

What do people do while looking at these? How long do they look at them?

They are something to see, but I can see them right on here. Going all the way to where they are, the whole time I'd be thinking of how it's going to be like Spruce Knob. Everybody says you have to go. Spruce Knob, the top of WV.

You drive out this 20-30 mile terrible washboard gravel road. Then, they have a tower there to make it unnaturally higher than it really is. Anyhow, you stand on it for 10 minutes, look around and it is something.

For about 10 minutes. Then it's time to go. This is why sports are such a big dollar industry. Without something interesting happening, anywhere you sit for a very long time would bore you to death.

Agreed. Why would I want to go all the way to Sweden to see a green light in the sky?

I never understood people going to Mexico or Jamaica to go to a beach and stay at a Marriott. Hell, you can do that all kinds of places.

I'm with you. I mean...why would anyone want to go to Sweden and experience the Northern Light when we are a less than two hours from this gem...

Yeah because myrtle beach=bahamas
I have been to both. I will take Myrtle area. More to do. Better people and not third world. Sure the water is clear.in the Bahamas but who cares? A chain hotel is a chain hotel.

I wouldn't go to that Mystery Hole either. Sucks. The only reason I go anywhere is either to see a ballgame in person or for the sheer experience of moving 75 mph across hundreds of miles of land.

Is the Snake Pit near Hawks Nest and the Mystery Hole still in business.
