Under the current proposed twelve team playoff Notre Dame will be out because they are an independent and would not get a first round bye IF they would even be selected. Wonder if Cain would still have chosen ND if this had already passed?

Doesnt Really matter to him. He has one year left and this won't start until 2023 at the earliest
