so the talking point is Trump is Putin's puppet. Can any lib make a real argument to support this claim?
From what I can gather, it's based on him publicly stating that he listened to Putin when he said that Russia didn't do it. Note that I said listened to Putin say it because I can't find where he said that he agrees and believes the comments. He said I didn't see why they would, he never said they didn't.
Yes, that's parsing language, but that is often required when political leaders speak.
Now for the other side. If he's Putin's puppet, explain the following:
Why would Trump assault the German leader for signing an energy deal that greatly benefits Russia? If he was worried about them and doing Putin's bidding, wouldn't he be supportive of that deal?
Why has Trump not rolled back sanctions place on Russia at the end of Obama's term? And why has he actually increased those sanctions in some areas?
Why hasn't Trump allowed the expelled diplomats to return to the U.S.? And why did he further force the closure of their facility in Washington state?
Can you cite any policy involving Russia that has provided a benefit to them made by, or at the direction of, Trump?
Wanting something to be true does not make it so. If Trump is some Russian traitor he's being really bad at it from what I can see, so change my mind.
