so the talking point is Trump is Putin's puppet. Can any lib make a real argument to support this claim?

From what I can gather, it's based on him publicly stating that he listened to Putin when he said that Russia didn't do it. Note that I said listened to Putin say it because I can't find where he said that he agrees and believes the comments. He said I didn't see why they would, he never said they didn't.

Yes, that's parsing language, but that is often required when political leaders speak.

Now for the other side. If he's Putin's puppet, explain the following:

Why would Trump assault the German leader for signing an energy deal that greatly benefits Russia? If he was worried about them and doing Putin's bidding, wouldn't he be supportive of that deal?

Why has Trump not rolled back sanctions place on Russia at the end of Obama's term? And why has he actually increased those sanctions in some areas?

Why hasn't Trump allowed the expelled diplomats to return to the U.S.? And why did he further force the closure of their facility in Washington state?

Can you cite any policy involving Russia that has provided a benefit to them made by, or at the direction of, Trump?

Wanting something to be true does not make it so. If Trump is some Russian traitor he's being really bad at it from what I can see, so change my mind.

Why do you need another lucid argument when there are so many already in existence?

Here's an oldie but goodie that you'll hate....BUT what she said here certainly rings true after what we saw in Hellsinki -

"He would rather believe Vladimir Putin than the military and intelligence professionals sworn to protect us".

But, but, but....THE ELECTION!

Those dirty Russians exposed Killary for the crooked bitch she is, and that was somehow crossing the line with Dems. They're still so pissed and blame the loss on this. That's what it comes down to, a weak argument (yet they're only argument) to their own failures to get Killary elected. All they have is conjecture and conspiracy theories.

no banker, no one can give what you or hefdman or any of the other wack job
russiacons could ever admit is a lucid argument.

if you think what the world has seen for the last 18 months and particularly
Monday is just a "talking point" you are beyond redemption.

Why did Trump arm soldiers that are fighting Russia as we speak? Why did Trump put sanctions on over 500 Russian individuals or businesses?

Trump's actions have been very tough on Russia. Continuing a false narrative won't make it untrue.

zero, not a single argument as to why he should be called a traitor. Why ? Because there are none.

If you all or anyone else can prove and lay out a case, I am all for removing DJT from office and punishing him accordingly.

This is one of the most pathetic displays of a losing side that I have seen. You all can't come to grips with reality.

HERDMAN TRUMP AND PUTIN COULD BOTH APPEAR BEFORE THE U.S.
CONGRESS AND CONFESS TREASON EVERY DAY FOR A MONTH AND
IT WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH FOR YOU, BANKER AND THE REST OF YOUR
MERRY BAND OF IMBECILES.

FURTHERMORE EVERY REPUBLICAN IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE WOULD EXCUSE THEM.

I AM BEGINNING TO BELIEVE YOU ALL REALLY ARE RUSSIAN TROLLS - YOU SURE

"He says he didn't meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times," Trump said aboard Air Force One. "Every time he sees me, he said, 'I didn't do that.' And I believe, I really believe that when he tells me that he means it." - Donald Trump about Vladimir Putin

I thought Clinton and Putin hated each other. Putin being an old KGB man he believes women are a weaker vessel and he would not respect a woman as a leader of any nation. He hated Hillary. He didn't even know trump.

Has Trump recognized Crimea as it said he would consider in your two year old article? Do you think that allowing the U.S. to export phones and tablets to Russia was an act of a puppet as your other article addresses?

Come on, give me something to work with here.

As far as the Merkel thing, many NATO members have questioned that move, and it's a fair comment. However, he doesn't hesitate to publicly slam Merkel, Macron, May and other NATO allies.....then publicly kisses Putin's ass.

The Senate voted 98-2 on the sanctions. The House voted 419-3.

It’s been a tough couple of days for the bankers on this board. I’d suggestthat they stick with numbers, but we’ve seen how it turns out when they try that.

He did sign it into law last August, I believe. However, CAASTA has its problems, which makes implementation not clear cut. Here's a story from just the other day about how it will negatively impact India, which we want to use to counter against China.
