CFP Expansion

This should allow the top teams to play more top teams in non-conference now, so a pretty decent compromise in my opinion. Haven't read up on how the at large will be selected, but assuming they'll go with highest ranked teams in the CFP ranking, once the six champions are crowned. Also assuming highest ranked G5 gets the 6th automatic bid. At least everybody has an opportunity to make the playoff now.

Absolutely terrible decision. 12 is worse case scenario for college football. Makes conf champ games meaningless and all but guarantees p5 teams won’t be scheduling g5 times that often

You’re still in the playoff if you lose your champ game. They mean nothing to actually get in the playoff.

Seriously, you've decided to double down on your original post?
Yeah I have. When it was four the big 12 game meant something. The big 10 game meant something, a spot in the playoff. Now we know both teams if everything holds pat will be guaranteed a spot in the playoff.

No, you most certainly don't know that. What happens if a 12-0 Ohio State plays a B1G championship game against a 9-3 Iowa team? Iowa wins, they're in. Lose, they're out. Think about 10-2 Utah playing 10-2 Oregon for the PAC 12 title? Win, you're in, lose you go home. Only the sec has the dogs where both teams likely have locked up spots. You really need to think this through a little further.

Every change to the way the national champion has been crowned has been worse than the previous system, and this is no exception.
