Trickett is a career killing mistake. I mean come with a trick play, motion, something, anything.

OC. If Huff wants to save his career, he better fire Trickett, and find an OL coach as well. Next steps would be to hit the portal hard for next year. We need a QB, Fancher isn't the answer, I don't think and the young kids need more time to adjust to the game. Who knows.
The way it looks now, 2023 could be worse than this year.
I have to agree...the slate is tougher next year and wins will be precious. We are just a bad team, rudderless!
Next year one of the 3 freshmen will be the starter and another will be the backup... Colombi will be gone, Fancher probably too, via transfer.
The key to MU football for the next 2 years is going to be rebuilding the offensive line. You can't run any offense without 5 guys who can block and work together. All the skill players in the world can't win without a line that is at least average.
Huff should clean house after this year on the offensive side of the ball and bring in someone with OC experience. If they were also a previous O-line coach that would be a huge bonus.
This is the approach in my mind. Get OL guys consistently via the transfer portal. Build these young QB's he's recruited. And by year 4, we should be a front runner. I know fans don't want to hear that, but last year and this year are rebuilds. Next year the foundation has been poured, time to set up walls.

In todays college football world, it doesn’t take 4 years to turn a team into a winner. That’s an outdated mindset. This was true even before the portal went crazy, but ESPECIALLY now.
If a coach has “it”, you pretty much know it by year 2 these days.

Absolutely we played for a conference title the year before he arrived here. How many of the players left after he came? He was hired to win titles .
They need to run a lot more . The offensive line cant block worth a darn on passes but they are big so keep pounding the ball . Use two tight ends. Put an extra blocking back in the backfield. Use Fancher at QB as he is the much better runner. Let Ali play again . If he cannot play again stop taking your best running back out of the game every time you get a drive going. Run the ball!!!!!
