Chicago is Out-Chicago-ing Itself Murder Wise

According to heyjackass.com, Chicago has surpassed 700 murders on the year with just over 40 days left. 702 at this moment, to be exact.

Just for reference & to get a good five year sample:

• 2012 - 514 homicides
• 2013 - 455 homicides
• 2014 - 462 homicides
• 2015 - 509 homicides
• 2016 - 702 homicides with 42 days remaining

Unless Chicago has an exceptionally crippling winter, it's entirely possible that Chicago could hit 735 murders.

Chicago has been a hub for that stuff since Prohibition. It's nothing new. Irish, Italians, blacks, Hispanics, the faces change but the game is the same. There's just a sudden high demand for a certain drug right now.

I just can't imagine the place ever being something other than a designated war zone.

It was a nice win, this election for us, but welfare will continue. As long as it does, the kind of culture it supports isn't going away. You have to keep it contained like a toxic waste dump. The best thing would be if you could combine them all into just one place.

How about shipping all the thugs from every city to Chicago? The rest of America would be great. Even Chicago wouldn't be that bad since they could now field 20 pro football and basketball teams.

But it isn't. You just don't go to certain parts of town, same as any city. I love Chicago, lots to do there. The cops keep downtown nice, they might not care if the thugs kill each other but they better than to let the business and tourist part get infiltrated.

A week & a half ago, when Chicago was at 702 murders, I said it was entirely possible the city would hit 735 murders by the end of the the year. Well, they're already at 725 & the weekend isn't even over yet.
