Any second now, Chicago will hit 600 murders on the year. And we're only half way through October. For reference, they had 509 in all of 2015 - and even that 509 was a recent high for them.
I remember back in March thinking there was no way the city would meet this year's projected murder total. Not only did I underestimate that city's lust for blood, I grossly underestimated it. Unless Chicago has an absolutely brutal (& prolonged) winter, the city really could reach 700 murders.
