Christians Murdered For Being Christians...Trans Community Most Hurt

and people wonder why i write that we are on a trajectory to not be #1

I'm unsure if we're #1 today. I feel as though we're Notre Dame, and simply getting that lofty preseason ranking, despite not playing a game.
You're welcome to go live in China, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, various parts of Europe and virtually all of Africa and report back how the living conditions are there for the avg citizen; letting us know who you think #1 is.

Some of you are starting to sound like the looney left.

We are #1. But, on a trajectory to have big problems. That doesn't come from the left. Hell, many people saying it are right of me. There are severe warning signs.

I would not ignore it. Our military has issues. Our govt has issues. Our society has issues. Yes, #1 still, but might not be in the next decade or two. On a host of fronts, we are in trouble.

China is the single biggest threat since WW2 and we are declining. Don't mean to be abrupt, but none of us are used to that. We think oh we are ok, #1 and always will be. Not so.

Read what I wrote the other day. If we go to #2 the degredation of our society could be harsh and a bad shock.

We may have to learn a tough lesson. We can't come across as arrogant anymore or not caring about it.

China has spent at least two decades buying influence in our govt, our businesses, our social aspects. They have built a good military(not the best but good and getting better).

Our businesses and corporations have sold their souls to the devil and they will go kicking and screaming even it means kissing the ring of the Chinese Comm Leader. We have a decision to make as a country.

We're not talking about riding around through the country side on a zebra with a bone through our nose.

We're talking economic and military power, the two things that matter the most. If you don't think China is going to surpass us, based on this current trajectory, then maybe you should refrain from entering the conversation.

China's expansion of its nuclear arsenal is the most "disturbing" development that Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall has seen in his decades-long career, he told lawmakers on Tuesday.

Kendall made the statement during a hearing before the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday. Kendall, with a 50-year U.S. military and defense career, says China's development into a top-level nuclear power is a major issue.

"I don't think I've seen anything more disturbing in my career than the Chinese ongoing expansion of their nuclear force," Kendall told lawmakers.

350 warheads, 3000, what's the difference really. I'd take this as someone remembering they worked for Raytheon....not a shocker he's talking to Appropriations and saying this.

dirty nukes are the more scary option. we have them too. suitcase nukes, whatever you want to call them. Use them with plausible deniability and undetectable delivery methods.

I think the case he is making is that China is turning from defensive posture to offensive posture. First strike capability.

If you have ICBMs, you have first strike capability. Now, China may have always had a "no first strike" public policy, but c'mon.

Nonetheless, China isn't nuking America. I know you like to squawk about it, but it ain't happening. Rational actors.

i agree, not nuking but it again shows their growth. THe likeliest threat of a nuke now is a small nuke, likely hand delivered or by venicle that a group or nation state could deny. You can't deny an ICBM and that is going to get you nuked back immediately.

Back to the point, China's military is growing bigger, better, equipped, and showing more signs of offensive capability. They are doing this at an alarming rate.

I am too. We are #1. We are not #2. I'll say it again. China needs the US in order to maintain their economic stability. Period. The minute we completely leave China...their economy collapses into an ash heap.
we can't leave China right now. They have us by the short hairs. We might have them too, but they have us. Just think if they take Taiwan? Like chips sets in things? They would then control a vast percentage of the world wide production. Like batteries? They have that now. And, are going after raw resources world wide using influence.

What does the thought of Chinese landing military airraft and staging troops in Honduras do? I have been on that air base down there that we controlled/built.

This is where we are headed. It is a serious damn threat. They are more dangerous that the Soviets were.

Vietnam is trying very hard to have American company factories. I say we let them and turn China back into a third world where women give birth in rice paddies

Well, some woman Biden put up for a top spot in the dept of the interior was getting questioned by the Senate today. Didn’t know what rare earth metals were or where we get them. So yeah, if Biden keeps nominating people dumber than himself, #2 is coming quick.

And does anyone believe all the Chinese nationals coming across the southern border aren’t spies and sleeper cell/espionage plants.

Is that within the dept of the interiors purview or someone playing gotcha. I mean that honestly. I have no idea the purpose of the dept of interior

Uggghh yehhhh considering the Dept of the Interior controls much of the land our rare earth mineral resources sit on.

There Mission Statement Reads:

The Department of the Interior manages public lands and minerals, national parks, and wildlife refuges and upholds Federal trust responsibilities to Indian tribes and Native Alaskans. Additionally, Interior is responsible for endangered species conservation and other environmental conservation efforts

The US geological survey is also part of interior and very much in the minerals and precious metals wheel house
