Christmas is just not fun anymore. After decades of the same songs, the same TV specials, and the same traditions, I believe we need a reset. Maybe have a five year Christmas ban or maybe just celebrate it every other year. At least make it a crime punishable by death for any store to put out Christmas merchandise before October.

Geezer is right. Christmas sucks. People get grumpy. Rat race. Been with family for a few hours. That is enough. Worried about buying crap and people liking it. Crowds everywhere. Most people are just unhappy this time of year.

I am to the point I could just do without it. Shit and trinkets put up all over the place and then you have to put them back up.

I agree with Geezer. Let's punish the Chinese and do away with Christmas celebrations for a few years. IT is a win win for everybody.

A very solid majority of the people I loved as a child are gone. Those are the people that made Christmas special.

Sure, I have my kiddo, but she's grown. And I've not heard the grandkids mention Santa, there's no magic anymore.

Maybe it is just my SAD being in high gear. I await the return of DST...and tornados, now THAT will be magic.

Kitchen faucet broke, coffee maker broke, shower head is leaking, and earlier today I paid $14 for a small sandwich at Panera Bread that I could have made myself at home for about a buck and a half. Yeah, it’s Christmas season again.
