Coal exports way up in WV and US

In somewhat related news: the $5 million or so worth of mining equipment of mine that has been sitting idle since Barry waged his war on coal is starting to move. Even have one investor interested in buying the entire business and property.

Thanks Trump.

You really should get better sources of information. You seem awfully f’ucking stupid about coal to be in a coal-related business. Exports for the first quarter of 18 are less than the fourth quarter of 17. Total exports for 2017 were up compared to 2016 but they were as high or higher in 2011 through 2014. Obama wasn’t very good at that “war on coal.”

Much of the coal now being exported is going to provide electricity to developing nations in Africa and Asia.

This piece is interesting. Energy is big business between the US and Africa.

Exports don't matter as a singular statistic. What are the stats on overall production and jobs?

And why in the fvck are we exporting energy to shitholes in the first place? KEEP SHITHOLES SHITTY AGAIN.

Northern WV coal production is down 12.4% YTD over 2017.
North has always been way way behind the south. I never knew of a coal mine when I lived in sistersville anywhere in the northern part of the state. The jobs they did have was underground and very small coal

Well duh. But I see energy reserves as a national security issue. For example, why in the fvck are we exporting petroleum to China? Let them deal with the Muslims to get their oil. Keep our shit here for us.
Geezus, aren't you the one who proclaimed last week that you're looking for intelligent conversation on this forum? How about leading by example, assuming you have anything left in the think tank.

Would you care to explain what is unintelligent about not selling energy reserves to a potential enemy? Do you believe China is building up its military assets and technology to go to war with, say, the goddamn Philippines, or maybe us? Or are you a big fan of John Chinaman? And if so, do your Trumper friends know about this?

Isn't this a YUGE part of the Trump Doctrine? Don't let the ChiComs continue to fvck us, I am pretty sure that is what he said about 1 million times during the campaign. Well, when they are using our oil to strengthen their economy and military, they are fvcking us. I may be a fan of renewable energy, but I am a realist: we are going to use every goddamn drop of oil we have, and then some. Every barrel we sell to China is a barrel we then have to buy from someone else, and often that someone else is a fanatical shithole that wants to chop off our heads.

Just because I think Trump is a blaring jackass and a bull in the china (;)) shop doesn't mean I disagree with every single bit of his platform. Maybe you are a closet Hillary voter. Or a closet something....

If you would leave this forum the intelligence level would increase drastically. While you’re at it take 88, Raleigh, and herdman with you

Is selling oil to China better or worse than letting Russia have our uranium? Asking for a friend.

Yeah...you wish everybody would just forget about it or at least stop talking about it. Right?
This issue has been discussed to death on this forum (and others) - no uranium left the US. Of course, if you have a reliable, reputable source that says otherwise....bring it. If you don't.....drop it.
