Hopefully out of this shutdown stupidity(both sides) will come the cold reality that a large portion of the population is not prepared or financially equipped to handle even a small disruption. Overwhelmingly Americans do not have a plan in place to handle these situations, much less a sustainable strategy for retirement.

The resolution had already passed both houses and only needed the signature of cheetos. Republicans were sure he'd sign on, but cheetos changed his mind and said he wouldn't sign without more money for wall. All of this began when republicans controlled the white house and congress. The shutdown, by the admittance of cheetos, is on him. No one else.
