When is Huff going to give Chads son a shot at QB? He keeps recruiting quarterbacks when many of us want to see what this young man can do.
That is possible.Maybe the young man isn’t doing much to separate himself

Glad Huff didn’t have this mentality last year with not getting Laborn when he had Ali.When is Huff going to give Chads son a shot at QB? He keeps recruiting quarterbacks when many of us want to see what this young man can do.

What if his last name was Kresser? If his last name wasn't Pennington, no one would be talking about him.
I don't think it matters what many "of us" fans think lol. Certainly not going to have an impact on future recruits...When is Huff going to give Chads son a shot at QB? He keeps recruiting quarterbacks when many of us want to see what this young man can do.
All this begs the question why offer the young man a “legacy” scholarship if he’s not going to play. Sure we want the best QB so does this mean he’s not good enough?
Because you want to bring in the best talent to push each other. And the second question you answered it yourself at this point in Cole's career. All this begs the question why offer the young man a “legacy” scholarship if he’s not going to play. Exactly. It's not like Huff doesn't want to win. He plays the kids that the staff thinks will win games. I doubt he gives a crap who the kids parents are.Because you want to bring in the best talent to push each other. And the second question you answered it yourself at this point in Cole's career.
Qb is not like other positions where you can see meaningful reps even as a back up and move around to different parts of the field (ex: WR can play X,Y,Z position can see typically 6-8 people on the field during the game).
It mind blowing some people (on this board and the other boards) think the head coach doesn't want to put the best players on the field to give the team the best chance to win.
They have way more in stake than most of the fans to win (more money, bigger gig or more power and security at a school).
