Looks like the nlrb head has decided that college athletes are employees and can therefore unionize. Say goodbye to college athletics as we know it.

Oh good gracious. Does that mean high school athletes are employees of the school and local board of education? LOL!
I wonder how they're getting taxed on the money they're now earning?
All while going to school for free. And yes I know not all players get full rides or even partial scholarships.

Just make them independent contractors, problem solved.

We have other sports than just football. The opinion from the nlrb applies to all athletes
print those W2s and 1099s. tax the hell out of them for every cent from room and board to value of the scholarships to books and anything else.
i can hear it now, but wait, but wait. The old 1099 would get them. Quarterly taxes. Put everything on there. Free shoes, sweatsuits, meals, travel that is paid for(I get hit with that on the company car for personal mileage), every damn thing down to the Gatorade they drink. That tutor was worth $125 a hour. Taxed.
