This is a new award this year, voted on by the League's coaches.
Regular COY award comes out near the end of the month. If Mike's Rockets' team can come back and defeat the Spurs in the Western Con. semifinals, he would probably lock up that award too. Go Rockets and congrats to Mike D.!!
