How do the rushing yards per game and passing yards per game not total the overall yards per game?

How about looking at what that exact same offense did the previous year with the same players who were a year less developed?

Again, it’s important to keep things in perspective. Dozens of people could have taken over a well-oiled machine and not completely screwed it up, been successful running the machine, and have it not be as productive.

Jeremiah Briscoe’s stats:

2016: 354 yards/game 62.6% 9.1 yards/attempt 57 TDs/10 INTs

2017: 357 yards/game 57.9% 8.6 yards/attempt 45 TDs/16 INTs

It’s much harder to get a faulty machine working then it is take over an offense with the FCS Heisman winner, three all conference receivers, two all conference running backs, and a bunch of the o-line returning. Case in point, 2016 Nevada.

Having such big expectations considering his past and what he has to work with is setting unreasonable standards.

I mean he could have also ran it to the ground
