How will you shock the world when you play no one and have no marquee wins to rely on?
Winning the CUSA after a 3 win season would shock the world. Back to prestige we go. Worry about your own bum team
We are not going to get any "national" attention.. only reason we are is because some of our games are on ESPN.. people want us to get votes in top25 and idk why... we haven't beat anybody... played a good game against NC State and beat a mediocre Cincinnati team.. and we are not coming out and smacking these teams in the mouth like we should

I think its a stretch to put Marshall in the top 50, much less the Top 25, when all of our wins have come against teams in the Bottom 25.

I agree with you on the Top 25 part. Not ready to concede we aren't a top 50 team. After last season I guess we will have to win 9-10 games to get any respect. As far as beating bad teams go nothing we can do about that. Tell you what I really like this team for bouncing back shows me they have some heart and after last year I thought that was lost

You know who else is 5-1? Toledo. Where are they in the votes and AP? Didn't see them on ESPN's rankings...and they "have all this exposure from being on ESPN" on weekdays...
The lone vote in the AP Poll came from a writer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Doubtful if he has even seen Marshall play all year long.............this is why I don't take human polls seriously.

It's funny though... Now that we have even just one vote, as long as we continue to win, there should be more votes coming. The AP pollsters watch very few games, but follow others like lemmings when it comes to mindless voting.
