I wish Ben Carson was more charismatic. Smart, smart dude, but has very little chance. Bush does nothing for me. Cruz and Paul are both creepy, not to mention Paul is completely unelectable. I really like Rubio, but don't think he did very well. I like Huckabee, too, but he had no chAnce. Im not even going to dignify trump with a mention here.

I like Rubio and thought Bush did better than I felt he would. Those are my two favorites at this point. Not that impressed with the others. Walker seems about as fake as my water bottle - maybe it was just my perception.

Thank god I didn't waste my time with that garbage.

This 2016 election might be the worst in history

Really liked Carson. Probably is smarter than any other candidate on the stage last night. I think he's actually too humble of a man to get a shot unfortunately (I still may vote for him). Paul was a disaster along with Trump. Rubio has the passion I think to inspire people and lead effectively. I just don't think he has the experience needed to get it. (Didn't seem to hurt Obummer though)

I thought the questions being asked were actually pretty good though. You probably wont be seeing ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS moderators ask questions of Dems that reveal past statements/positions which point out potential hypocritical positions of the candidates in the same way.

Uh no...Rand has a very attractive wife. He is just an asshat.

I thought Rubio was the big winner last night.

Ok, he is an asshat for sure. He was eliminated from my list last night. All other candidates are competing for my vote. All are still in the race other than Rand.

Kasich came across well, as expected. Trump did his usual of not answering questions and being completely blind to what's really happening around him.

Cruz really seems like a shady car salesman.

Glad to see someone else say that about Cruz. Plus he was born in Canada for heavens sake

Cruz has sleaze poring out of his pours. It may be my first, visual reaction to him, but his squinty eyes, his 'I'm smarter than you' smirk, and just the way he carries himself makes me distrust him.

Did Trump really call the moderator a bimbo? You can all see his run is a publicity stunt now right?
I thought it was. But is it a publicity stunt when he's leading in the polls?

Seems like the party's constituency is the joke, not the Trump. Democrats are idiots too, but they're smart enough to not run Sean Penn for President...or take similar-like candidates seriously.

I'm looking at it completely as a joke. It was made clear last night that he had no idea what he's doing, he had no real ideas regarding policies, and he's going to act like a child if he doesn't get what he wants.

Leading in the polls right now is meaningless. I'll even give the Republicans a pass on him; we all know they'd never actually run the guy. They had just better hope he doesn't go 3rd party and steal votes.

I believe you are wrong. He is trolling, and he is going to run as a third candidate and hand it to his buddy Hillary.

And if I am right, Donald Trump is the smartest motherfvcker on the face of the Earth.

.

Don't confuse sliminess for smartness.

Kasich,Bush or Rubio in any order. Can't win without Ohio and Florida. Got to have those electoral votes.

Rubio & Kasich winning ticket.

Donald Trump is anything but an idiot.

At the end of the day he in believe he genuinely like America and thinks he can fix i he makes some valid points. America used to be about winning. He makes that clear.

He may bit win but he has made the Republicans better and made the others work harder.

At.the end.of the day he might just win the the thing.

No, I think it's a publicity stunt so he can go do speaking tours and whatever else failed presidential candidates do that makes them so much money. I think he'd be scared shitless if he actually got the nomination.

I feel like both sides are in such a delirious rush to give illegals in this country legal status, consequences be damned, that having a front runner shining a light on it - I don't care who he is, is a good thing.

I don't think Trump wants it. However, I seriously doubt he's scared shitless by it. Guys with egos like that are too maniacal to be scared by the job. Look at Obama, if we're being honest, absolutely nothing in his professional life qualified him to be the President. If anybody should have been scared shitless at the gig, it was him. But his ego is on par with Trumps. If you don't agree, go back & look at Obama's first campaign.

What? Teaching constitutional law for 12 years, serving 3 terms in the Illinois state senate and a term as U S senator, are not much more qualifying than Trumps ego?

Apparently the years of studying the constitution gave him plenty of understanding of how to ignore it....but that's about it.

Yehhh we should hire professors as the highest executive in the land.

His time as a senior lecturer isn't my biggest concern. Although if watch his DoJ, you'd never know he "respects the Constitution." No one can point to any tangible accomplishments of his before his run. Hell, during the campaign he was asked what he had accomplished that would justify a run for the POTUS & he actually said his campaign was proof he could do the job. Plus, Obama had established a reputation of voting Present on issues to avoid having to face criticism. Since his time in office, he's proven to be petty, dismissive, & harshly vindictive (Chuck Schumer, anyone?). Back to Trump being scared shitless - he's by no means my pick, but he's been involved in more international financial deals, messes, lawsuits & ultimately financial rebounds than probably most of Obama's financial advisers put together. I doubt the job scares him shitless.
