Let's take NC for an example.

North Carolina’s abortion law is legal abortion up to 12 weeks, and includes exceptions for rape, incest, life of the mother, and life-limiting fetal anomalies.

So, what am I missing here. It is still legal up to 12 weeks. Has the exceptions that fall in line with what most people agree on.

They are saying that Republicans want to make it illegal. Well, they didn't make it illegal.

So why do Democrats lie about this? Or are they lying about their own true intents which is abortion at will up to and including birth? Why are they so obsessed about this one topic?

Because they lie to themselves about it. They want abortion to be legal primarily as a means of birth control, that way they can live their lives as irresponsibly and morally- bankrupt as they'd like with no long- term repercussions, that is, giving birth and/or caring for a child. Yet, only the most far left-wing, blue-haired, multiple piercing- and tattoo-having, gender-affirming freaks are the only ones that will come out and openly admit it. The rest try to pretend they aren't fans of murdering fetuses for the sake of sexual pleasure.
